Larkrise to Lapworth - Lapworth

The Lapworth Players are involved in a project with a professional theatre company, and has benefited from LEADER funded umbrella project, Arts On Our Doorstep, funds to create an additional performance for the village Scarecrow Festival. Local groups will take part in workshops to perform with members of Lapworth Players as part of the community cast.

 

Party in the Park - Baginton

The Baginton Events group has received funding and support through LEADER funded umbrella project, Arts On Our Doorstep, to bring together a traditional village fete and a live music show, creating a large community event with free daytime entertainment and an evening concert and fireworks display. Proceeds from the event will contribute to other community activities in the village.

Brandon Broiderers - Brandon, Bretford and Wolston

The Brandon, Bretford & Wolston History Group has established a new project that will create a textile hanging depicting the local area. LEADER funded umbrella project, Arts on Our Doorstep, has provided funding to support a series of workshops for local residents, including children from Wolston Primary school, to learn creative embroidery skills and techniques, contributing to the final art work that will be displayed in the Village Hall and other community venues.

Community Craft Club - Clifton upon Dunsmore

A group of Newton and Clifton residents has received funding and support through LEADER funded umbrella project Arts On Our Doorstep to set up and run a series of craft workshops in the 2 villages, aimed at recreating the unity and support of a former Mother & Toddler group.
 
Participants will meet for workshops by local and regional artists, learning and sharing skills at monthly sessions, with a view to being able to continue crafting together and with other local arts groups.

 

Grandborough - Gardens Go Wild
