Popcorn at the ready - don't miss on Big Picture Show's latest screening tonight in Offchurch!

The Big Picture Show is a service enabling you to programme films in your local village halls or other suitable community venue, with top range technical equipment and support. We create and regularly update an online menu of available films - from popular family favourites to blockbusters, from screen classics to indie and foreign films - or simply choose any film and, provided screening rights are available, we’ll get it sorted!

Over the coming weeks, look out for:

My week with Marilyn on Friday 9 November, 7.30pm at Offchurch Village Hall

Chariots of Fire on Friday 16 November, 7.30pm at Dunchurch and Thurlaston WI Hall

The Help on Tuesday 20 November, 8.00pm at Barnacle Village Hall

Launched in Central Warwickshire earlier this year, several village hall groups have so far run Big Picture Show events for their communities, programming recent British hit films Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and My Week With Marilyn, Woody Allen romantic comedy Midnight in Paris, The Muppets film for all the family, and in the Olympic spirit Chariots of Fire

Bring out your creativity as a cinema host – why not revisit the glorious cinematic heydays with a screening of ‘The Artist’, throw down the red carpet and ask the audience to glam up?!  Or re-visit the classic Bond movies – there are 22 of them available! – then have your own screening of new Bond movie, ‘Skyfall’, in the new year?  You can theme for Christmas (It’s a Wonderful Life) or Valentines Day (Notting Hill)… whatever your choice we can offer you a simple to organise event that is cost effective.  Our prices for this year are subsidised by LEADER funding, so book before the end of March to get a screening for £125 (+ vat)*… that’s only 30 tickets at £5 each to break even.

Big Picture Show is managed by Live & Local, a long standing promoter of live performances in rural communities throughout Warwickshire and beyond.  We want to support more communities to get involved in providing these entertaining nights out and would be happy to talk to you about how it all works, or to arrange for you to visit one of the other screenings coming up in Warwickshire so that you can see it in action for yourself.

To inspire you to see the bigger picture, below are just a few suggestions to attract your audience:

Screen Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and spice up the night by serving 'Curry & Cobra' to complement your all Indian evening!

Arrietty is the latest release from Studio Ghibli (creators of Spirited Away), based on the classic children’s book The Borrowers. The Studio Ghibli films are magical, beautiful, and kids (and ad108 ults!) love them. There are a number of films, so there is potential to hold one every couple of weeks throughout the winter period. That'll keep them quiet for a while...
