  • Warwickshire's Best Village of 2011, Wolvey, has secured LEADER funding for an intergenerational, community arts project, that the entire village can roll their sleeves up and get stuck into!

    The project, entitled, '60 years of a Village at Play' will explore the villages heritage over the last 60 years and celebrate its findings at communities events for the Queens Diamond Jubilee in June 2012.

  • Wolvey Primary School has benefited from funding and support through LEADER funded service project 'Community Orchards' to establish a school orchard.  

  • Gamecock Barracks, situated in Wolvey, has benefited from an exciting initiative called Reel Journeys.

    The project aims to bring the respective communities closer together through a filming and animation project via LEADER funded service project 'Arts On Our Doorstep'.


  • A Soil Association initiative, Food for Life Communities, has been awarded CWV LEADER funding to roll out a successful model for school farmers' markets, which have previously benefited communities across England and Wales.

  • Friends of Oakley Wood have secured a grant of £12,500 of LEADER funds for local horse loggers to thin the more sensitive areas of the woods over the next two years.

    Logs on Draught will be carrying out this work from Monday 20th February for two weeks.
