Who can help

The programme team is responsible for running the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER programme on a day to day basis. If you need information, help or advice please contact the team by email, telephone or letter.

The Project Co-ordinator would normally be the point of contact between community groups and the programme. Their role is to develop and deliver community projects under the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER programme. The project co-ordinator will work under the supervision of the programme manager but will be available to work closely with groups who are developing project proposals or who need support in delivering projects.

The Programme Manager is responsible for managing, implementing and promoting the Local Development Strategy (LDS) under the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER programme through the Local Action Group (LAG). The manager is a link between community groups and the LAG and should be contacted to raise issues with the LAG. The manager will also be responsible for receiving project applications and managing the appraisal process so that the LAG can deal with project proposals quickly and effectively. The manager will also help the accountable body commission projects and meet claiming and reporting requirements.

The manager also has the wider role of coordinating the activities of the programme to support community activity that delivers the Local Development Strategy (LDS) and business plan. They will liase with public, private, voluntary and community sectors within Central Warwickshire in order to develop a programme of projects that support wider community objectives and interlink with other projects. The manager will also be responsible for identifying sources of match funding to maximise the value of the programme.

The Chair of the LAG, deputised by the Vice-Chair, will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the LAG and the LEADER Forum as specified under the terms of reference for these two fora. More details can be found on the LAG and Forum pages. The LAG would normally be contactable through the programme management team.

Garden Organic are the 'host' organisation for the programme team, providing a base and administrative back up for the Central Warwickshire Villages LEADER programme. They can be contacted through their website but are not expected to deal with the day to day running of the programme. They are represented on the LAG.

Warwickshire County Council (WCC) are the accountable body for the programme and are responsible for ensuring the programme complies with LEADER and funder requirements. They are represented on the LAG by an elected member of the council and also contribute the time of a number of council officers to support the programme. The officers will also be responsible for monitoring the programme and administering the reporting and claims system operating between the programme, AWM and RPA (Rural Payments Agency). They would normally be contactable through their website or the programme team.
